RFP- Engineering and Related Services for a County-Wide Watershed Management Plan #10101

Notice is hereby given that Jackson County is soliciting responses for ENGINEERING AND RELATED SERVICES for a COUNTY-WIDE WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PLAN. Interested and qualified respondents may submit Request for Proposals (RFP) Packages, according to the requirements described herein, to Jackson County, 2915 Canty Street, Pascagoula, MS 39567.

All RFP Packages are due by or before 12 p.m. (CT) on August 19, 2021. Any packages delivered to or received after the 12 p.m. deadline will not be considered and shall be returned unopened to the addressee. All RFP’s/bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at (1:00 pm) in the Board of Supervisor’s Board Room in the Jackson County Services Complex located at 2915 Canty Street, Pascagoula, MS 39567.

Information is sought for Engineering Services. The primary purpose is to provide engineering services to perform a County-Wide Watershed Management Plan (WMP). It is anticipated that the WMP will include describing existing watersheds and drainage basins within the County; providing an inventory of drainage systems including open drainage ways as well as subsurface stormwater drainage systems and structures; addressing areas of flooding or drainage concerns; and recommendations for improvements and overall management strategies to help prevent future degradation. Some other strategies could include conservation through acquisition, outfall management and permitting, GIS database development, water quality improvements, and improvements to the County’s FEMA Community Rating.

Any and all questions or requests for information relating to this Request for Proposals shall be submitted in writing by or before 12 p.m. (CT) on August 13, 2021.
