The scope of this project is to provide the Chancery Courts for the Sixteenth Chancery District in Pascagoula, Mississippi with updated audio/visual equipment to allow the courts to function more efficiently, especially in the area of remote (virtual) hearings that were increasingly utilized during the COVID-19 outbreak starting in March 2020. The COVID-19 outbreak continues to threaten our District into 2021 and beyond.

The Chancery Courts of the Sixteenth Chancery district needs a fully-integrate video system that is housed in a central location (i.e.hub) in the courtroom for ease of use for the judges, court staff, attorneys and litigants. This system would include wired video inputs (HDMI, VGA), a document camera and wireless video inputs. The system would also include a touch screen monitor at the hub and on the judge’s bench. Two control points for the system – one with the judge and the other easily accessible by court staff. A wall mounted television, preferably in the 70” – 80” range, would be affixed to the wall directly across from the witness box, and a widefield camera mounted above the television. The television would serve dual purposes projection of documents and/or screens from the hub and as a screen during remote/virtual hearings when a litigant cannot attend court. The wide-field camera would capture the judge and bench, both counsel’s table and the witness. The system would integrate into the existing audio system, be pre-built, programmed and tested before delivery. This request would include any and all accessories necessary to implement the system, including court reporter backup system for each courtroom. All warranties and technical support included.
